For a gaggle of Zags... for shared ideas and solutions

For the last six months, we have “been on the road,” visiting with individuals, organizations, and big rooms full of Zag spirit to capture the sparks of innovation and inspiration that will ignite the next era of our beloved University. Members of the Advancement team, President McCulloh, our inspiring Deans and members of GU’s leadership team have been up and down the West Coast and even across the Pacific to unite alumni spanning the decades, families, and friends in the interest of forging the future together. In November alone, Dr. McCulloh connected with over 400 people. Even Gonzaga’s Chief of Staff, Charlita Shelton, has been in on the action, hosting alumni of color for special events and meetings of meaningful discourse.

Alumni and staff in a crowded elevatorWe’ve given awards to exemplary members of the Gonzaga community, crammed a gaggle of Zags into an elevator for a 70+ floor ride, shared ideas and solutions to problems faced not only by the University, its students, faculty, staff and alumni, but by the world as a whole. True to form, all the cities and people we’ve visited have been generous with their time, their resources, and their dedication to ensuring that Gonzaga will continue its positive impact on the world, educating people for lives of leadership and service in the Jesuit tradition. There’s been so much to learn from you all out there on the road, and you’ve shown up to ignite the confidence in the University and its leadership that is necessary for Gonzaga to go forth and thrive.

Next week, we’ll be in Washington DC, then on to Southern California, followed by even more events in Nevada, Spokane, Montana, and Florence, Italy. If we haven’t seen you yet, we will—after all, when we unite, we ignite a better world.
