Best gift of the new year... they return...

Mother and son hug at airportAs I scrolled through countless pictures and posts from Zag parents and families on various social media channels this morning, I could sense the warm hugs that preceded most pictures and the tearful texts that followed.  Both beautiful and bittersweet, each image and sentiment reminded me why Gonzaga University exists: to receive these young people who have been called to become and create the positive impact our world so desperately needs, and to guide them toward their dream to serve their professions, communities and families. Despite the frigid cold on campus and concerns worldwide as the pandemic pushes on, your support is making it possible for Gonzaga to (figuratively) wrap our arms around the daughters, sons and friends sent our way.

So, for every airport, train station, ferry, or driveway “goodbye” filling my feed from families today, I hope you feel warmth and gratitude for all you to do to empower Gonzaga to receive, educate, care for, and transform these precious lives.  Thank you.  We ZagOn!
