Somewhere between a party and the floor of the stock exchange, you’ll find the ballroom of the John J. Hemmingson Center at Gonzaga University on Zags Give Day. It has been a whirlwind day of activity, connecting with Zags near and far to raise money for scholarships, resources, academic areas, athletics and more. Below is your sneak peek behind the scenes of what was a phenomenal day that yielded outstanding preliminary results (more details to come):
· 1,877 Zags giving
· 220 first-time donors
· Gifts from Zags in all 50 states
· Over 250 faculty and staff donations
· NINE live Facebook/Instagram interviews from Zag legends/leaders; dozens of stories and hundreds of thank you messages shared
· Colleagues from all across campus and donors dropping in at the Zags Give Day headquarters to help in the effort!
· A last minute emergency cancelation by our emcee created an opportunity for our team member, Marit Jacobs (’19) to rule the day as our standout emcee!
· And the effort continues for several more hours
