I spotted these two yesterday afternoon and thought you all might get a kick out of seeing the Hemmingson Center Christmas tree being assembled. If you look closely, you will see our colleagues, Greg McGuire, operations manager and Brian Best, facility manager of Bozarth Mansion (along with several others) taking on the task of assembling the biggest Christmas tree on campus. Brian and Greg are members of the Gonzaga University Event Service Team (GUEST) – this team is dedicated to making event and meetings on campus a success. From reservations, event setup and A/V technology, to billing and contracts they are the crew who work fiercely to ensure everything goes smoothly for those we are hosting. They also bring a lot of holiday cheer to the thousands who will visit the Hemmingson Center over the next several weeks.
And you are welcome to be one of these visitors, please considering joining us for 30 minutes in community with your fellow Zags to kick off the holidays!
On Tuesday, November 29th, from 5:00 – 5:30 pm we are starting the holidays with the annual tree lighting celebration at the Hemmingson. Big Bing Theory, our student a cappella group, will sing carols to get us in the holiday spirit and we'll light the tree together. We'll also hear from Mission and Ministry, Miguel Acosta Loza ourGSBA President, and Dr. McCulloh! The lighting ceremony will stream live at: https://www.gonzaga.edu/streaming
