As many new Gonzaga families are settling in to a new phase of life—first-year Zags adjusting to life on campus and parents coming to terms with quiet homes now that their students are all moved in, it’s a great time to reflect on the tight bonds formed between parents and their children—like  Tom Larkin  (’99, JD ’02) and his dad Tom Larkin, Sr. (’71, JD ’73).

Their connections to one another as father and son along with their deep love for the Gonzaga family is positively inspiring.

After you read this, take a minute to text or call your parents, your children, or anyone who’s been like family to you—those long-distance GU hugs mean the world!
