Areas of work: University Ministry Team Formation, support for Ministry and Mission work around the University
Hi everybody! My name is Meredith – I graduated from Gonzaga in 2015 and I’m so thrilled to be back at Gonzaga working in the office that helped me find and follow a calling to campus ministry work. After I graduated from Gonzaga, I spent a year in Camden, NJ as a Jesuit Volunteer where I lived in community with 4 wonderful humans and worked as a campus minister and “transportation specialist” (aka 12-passenger van driver) at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School. Then I got a Master’s in Theology and Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Villanova University where I got to bring my love for a faith that does justice into the classroom and into further campus ministry work including supervising students for a tutoring program in a maximum-security men's prison. Villanova basketball could never replace the Zags in my heart, so when I got the opportunity to return to GU, I was thrilled. After a few years of getting to walk with students and hear their stories as they ask big questions, learn about their faith and themselves, grow in love, and laugh a lot, I've moved into the Director role in our office where I get to help form a team of campus ministers who will continue that same work that I love. What a dream job.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me rock climbing, watching the sunset on High Drive, testing out a new recipe, studying for my Doctor of Ministry research project, walking my dog Junie B. Jones around Manito Park, or hanging out with my friends while improving my cribbage game. I could chat all day about whatever show we're all watching or podcast we're listening to - The Bear? Normal Gossip? Let's discuss!
