What’s your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Hemmingson Center. Not only is it home to our main dining hall, but it is the hub of student life on campus. Walking through Hemmingson you are surrounded by familiar faces. It is a great place to grab coffee and study. There is always something happening in Hemmingson, from guest speakers in our ballroom, to live music in the evening. There is something and somewhere for everyone which is what I love!
What’s your favorite thing to do in Spokane?
My favorite thing to do in Spokane is visiting local businesses. Spokane is full of amazing local businesses from restaurants like FEAST World Kitchen to Indabas, my favorite coffee shop and everything in between. Spokane is filled with unique places to explore and support. That is something special about Spokane, you are always finding new places and things to do!
Advice for prospective students:
Visit the campus and ask questions! If you can visit, it can be an incredible experience. Not only do you get to visualize what it would be like to be a student on campus. You have the ability to ask questions to the people you interact with on your visit. From admission counselors to student leaders and faculty. I would also encourage you to explore campus on your own; observe what the campus community is like. If you are not able to visit, I encourage you to look at virtual events and programs. Many colleges have programs where you can do virtual tours and talk with current students. These programs are great ways to learn more about the school and get some of your questions answered.
