Why are you in admissions at Gonzaga?
My time as a Gonzaga undergraduate was defined by an empowering community, impactful educators, and lifelong friends. I deeply believe in the Jesuit educational model and its principles, especially in caring for the whole person. Graduating as a more well-rounded individual inspired me to contribute to helping others discover where their story aligns with Gonzaga's narrative. I'm passionate about eliminating barriers that hinder students from experiencing the transformative education Gonzaga offers. Additionally, my love for helping others and investing in their journeys led me to the Office of Admission.

What’s your favorite place on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is inside the Myrtle Woldson building, in the Recital Hall overlooking Lake Arthur. The hall features a towering wall of grand windows that flood the space with daylight. During winter, the sunset reflects off the snow and ice on Lake Arthur, creating a stunning display of oranges and pinks. I highly recommend visiting the Myrtle Woldson building and her uniquely replicated living room on the second floor.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Spokane?
I like to go to Boulder Beach and jump in the river!

Advice for prospective students:
As a prospective student, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the steps needed for your collegiate journey and to think you're alone in this. Remember, many before you have navigated this process successfully and been 100% ok. Give yourself grace and allow yourself to process the emotions of this new chapter. You have a dedicated support team ready to assist you—like the admission team you see here! Initially, I hesitated to reach out to my admission counselor, viewing them as gatekeepers of Gonzaga. However, they are here to help you find your place and succeed. Don't hesitate to reach out, even if it's just to connect with a familiar face at Gonzaga. Lastly, avoid comparing yourself to others. Your path and timing are unique. You're exactly where you need to be, and you'll reach your goals in due time. Just as roses and tulips bloom in different seasons, both are equally beautiful.
