Nora Garvin Kommers Scholarship

The Nora Garvin Kommers Scholarship was established in 1986 for students with financial need. Nora was a Spokane legend, working with the local and national Camp Fire Girls of America and the Washington State Heart Association. Although Nora did not graduate from Gonzaga University, she held a special place in her heart for the law school because several of her family members received law degrees from GU. Nora’s niece, Sister Mary Garvin, served as an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Gonzaga from 1991 until her death in 2013.
