Future plans:
Next year I will be pursuing an MA in Health and Society at University College Cork in Cork, Ireland. The program is interdisciplinary and draws its courses from the departments of philosophy, public health, and economics. I plan to pursue further graduate education after my masters, and I aspire to work on healthcare system reform.
How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?
My education as a human physiology major and philosophy minor have provided me with the skills and background to approach healthcare as multi-faceted issue that captures both science and the humanities.
What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?
I am proud of my investment in the human physiology department though my roles as student, teaching assistant, and employee. I have been particularly involved within the anatomy lab and am proud of the impact I have had on that course. I am also proud of the work I have completed towards my Honors thesis, in which I explore the construction of the female body in medicine and philosophy.
