Sacred Spaces

Gonzaga’s sacred spaces invite reflection and prayer for everyone in the community. Below are all the sacred spaces on campus.

Special Events and Weddings 

If you are interested in reserving one of our chapels for an event or wedding, please contact Terry Randles at University Ministry, randles@gonzaga.edu or 509-313-4242.

Please note:

  • All weddings must have a parish of record and therefore must go through the wedding coordinator at St. Aloysius Church, Ann Smith, who can be reached at 509-313-7020
  • Baptisms are also recorded through St. Aloysius Church, and the contact is Michele Lassiter at 509-313-7009 (x7009).
  • Daily Student Mass is celebrated in the University Chapel (when class is in session). Monday through Friday at 12:10 p.m.
  • Sunday Student Mass is celebrated in the University Chapel (when class is in session) at 5:00 p.m.

University Chapel

Located on the third floor of College Hall. Sunday and weekday masses are held at this Chapel.

St. Michael's Chapel

St Michaels Chapel

Located next to Duff’s at Kennedy Hall, can accommodate about 80 people comfortably and is available for prayer and liturgy.

Jewish Sacred Space

The Jewish Sacred Space serves as the main gathering space for the Jewish Community on campus.

A space dedicated to sacred space for community members of the Muslim religion.

Muslim Prayer Rooms

There are two separate spaces, one for men and one for women, to support Muslim students' faith lives.

Perched above the Little Spokane River on 8.2 lush acres, Bozarth Mansion offers an elegant and affordable venue for events in a beautiful and historic venue.

The Grotto on a Fall Evening

The Grotto

Located between College Hall and St. Aloysius Church, provides a meditative space outdoors.

Chapel

Law School Chapel

Located on the third floor of the law school near Room 305. Weekly Masses are held every Tuesday at 8:00am during the academic year.

The Hearth Room space with tables and chairs.

The Hearth Room

Located on the third floor of College Hall, the space provides a tranquil and reflective environment.

St Peter Faber House

Located on E. Sharp Ave. The house offers space for about 20 people to meet. Several rooms on the second floor are available for small group prayer and discussion.
