How To Join
Gonzaga Law Review membership is open to students that have completed their first year of law school with a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.700 or higher. Applications for membership open in late May and are due late June. Applicants may apply either through a grade-on application or a write-on application. Membership decisions will be made in late July.
Grade-on Application
- Available to 2Ls and Executive J.D. students in the top 10% of their respective classes at the completion of Spring 2023.
- Complete and anonymize the citation worksheet.
- Write a cover letter explaining your interest in joining Gonzaga Law Review and how your qualifications make you a competitive candidate.
- Submit all materials according to the competition rules by Friday, June 30 by 11:59 P.M.
Write-on Application
- Available to 2Ls and Executive J.D. students with a minimum 2.70 GPA at the completion of Spring 2023.
- Complete and anonymize the citation worksheet.
- Complete and anonymize the case comment.
- Submit all materials according to the competition rules by Friday, June 30 by 11:59 P.M.
Transfer Students
Students who plan to transfer, or have transferred, to Gonzaga University School of Law between their first and second year of law school must meet the minimum G.P.A. requirement and be in the top 50 percent of their law school class at the time of transfer.
Transfer students must participate in the Writing Competition and are subject to the same deadlines as non-transfer students.
