Indoor Gyms

• Wild Walls: Wild Walls is a great resource for the Spokane climbing community. It is a fantastic place to learn the climbing essentials (they offer a belaying class). Climbing indoors is a great way to hone your skills and strength over the winter months. Wild Walls offers two crags and a flat wall for top rope climbing, a newly expanded bouldering are with a top out boulder, and fixed draws for lead climbing if you are certified with them. They offer $5 climbing, harness, and shoe rentals on Fri nights from 4-10pm if you show your student ID.
• Bloc Yard: Bloc Yard is a bouldering specific gym that offers great student deals and discounts. It is also the home base of the Gonzaga Climbing team. Friday night climbing is $8 for students!

Gear Shops

• Mountain Gear: Another great local Spokane climbing shop. While they don’t have quite the same selection of gear, their selection of climbing shoes, harnesses, and clothing is a bit more expansive. 2002 N Division in Spokane, Wa Tel:(509) 340-1165
• REI: Everyone knows REI. Check out the local stores first, and if they don’t have what you need, there’s always REI.
