Access Fund

Within our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) document we state, “As a program within Student Involvement and Leadership, Gonzaga Outdoors seeks to create equitable outdoor access for all Gonzaga students. Striving to increase student accessibility by creating equal opportunities and offering financial assistance regardless of a student’s race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability status, or socioeconomic status.”

In support of this JEDI initiative, Gonzaga Outdoors has created an Access Fund to reduce financial barriers to participation by subsidizing fees for students with demonstrated need and by purchasing and providing necessary equipment for all students registered for a trip.

Gonzaga Outdoors will set aside 10% of revenues from trips into the Access Fund that will be used to reduce the cost of participation for Pell Eligible students. This reduction will be applied via a discount code given to all Pell Eligible students.
