Future plans:

Next year, I'll be working at City Year (an Americorp program) where I'll serve as a mentor for elementary or middle school. I hope to go back to school and get my Masters and/or PhD and potentially go into teaching or community organizing.

How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?

The Sociology & Criminology department has been so influential in my time at GU. I have learned so much academically from all my professors, but it has also been amazing getting to know such genuine, intellectual, supportive faculty. Exploring the politics of the possible has also provided me with hope and insight into addressing structural and social problems.

What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?

My proudest accomplishment has been conducting two different independent research projects that I presented at the annual conference for the Pacific Sociological Association. This past year, I traveled to San Diego, CA for it and got to meet Elijah Anderson.
