Military Tuition Assistance (TA) is awarded to you, a military-connected student, under the assumption that you will attend school for the entire period for which the assistance is awarded. When you withdraw or stop attending, you may no longer be eligible to receive the full amount of TA funds originally awarded.
To comply with Department of Defense policy, Gonzaga University will return any unearned TA funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60% portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period. Unearned funds will be returned to the military based upon when you stop attending.
If you stop attending due to an unanticipated military service obligation, Gonzaga University will work with you to identify solutions that will not result in student debt for the returned portion of your tuition assistance.
