U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington

“On the criminal side, I drafted indictments and plea agreements involving firearms, drugs, and child sex offenses, assisted with cases through trial, and developed firsthand experience with prosecutorial discretion. On the civil side, I led an investigation in coordination with the EPA and SBA and prepared for depositions. I spent much of my time briefing Ninth Circuit appeals involving due process, compassionate release, and constitutional issues in immigration proceedings, while also gaining exposure to False Claims Act and Chapter 7 bankruptcy matters.”

During my second year, I focused on litigation, working on premises liability, animal injury, and assault cases and handling pleadings, discovery, and legal research. I also gained firsthand exposure to case strategy through meetings with attorneys, physicians, and clients, as well as my first observations of depositions and mediations.”
