On April 22, 2024, Dr. Thayne M. McCulloh announced that he will retire in summer 2025 following 16 years of leadership as president. To learn more, read President McCulloh's announcement, a message from Board Chair Christy Larsen, and our press release.

A formal search process for Gonzaga University’s next president is underway. It is being led by our Presidential Search Committee and search firm Russell Reynolds Associates. 

Listening sessions with various Gonzaga stakeholder groups and surveys have been conducted with various stakeholder groups to gather input on the priorities for and qualities desired in the next president. We appreciate the thoughtful input from all who participated.

We will provide additional updates as necessary throughout the process.
