Gonzaga in Delft Begins their 2024 Journey
The Gonzaga in Delft: Sustainable Cities course kicked off May 16 for the 18 Gonzaga students and three faculty in the city of Delft, Netherlands.
Over the next three weeks students will learn about how sustainability is deeply embedded into the Dutch culture including how they design, operate and maintain their urban infrastructure.
Students picked up the bikes that will be their primary transportation for the course and navigated the parking garage that fits 5,000 bikes! BicycleDutch created a video about this unique way to repurpose infrastructure.
The day ended with a welcome dinner in the heart of the historic city.
