Gonzaga Extends Confirmation Date for Newly Accepted Undergraduate Students
Gonzaga University announced today that it is extending the confirmation date for newly accepted undergraduate students to June 1. Recognizing the concern students and families face in making timely college decisions, Gonzaga is also offering an Estimated Financial Aid Offer for accepted students to help them assess their options. These two initiatives come in response to delays in the U.S. Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process that has hindered students and families nationwide from completing the form used to determine eligibility for financial aid.
Recognizing the importance of this information in assisting students and families with their financial planning for the upcoming academic year, Gonzaga University has taken proactive measures to accommodate the delay and alleviate stress for prospective students.
"We understand that the admissions process can be a challenging and stressful time for students and their families, especially when financial aid is a significant factor in the decision-making process," said Stephen Keller, Senior Director of Undergraduate Admission.
Gonzaga University remains committed to supporting students throughout the admissions process and beyond. The University encourages students to reach out to the Office of Admissions for any assistance or clarification they may need during this time and will provide one-to-one assistance in completing the FAFSA.
