Students' Favorite COG Dishes
Whether you're bonding over burgers or making memories over grilled cheese, there's something special about sharing a meal with friends in the COG. The COG is Gonzaga University’s main dining hall with six restaurant-style stations in the John J. Hemmingson Center. With so many delicious options in the COG, here are some of our students’ favorite dishes!
Analisa Placenti ‘26 - Cheese Ravioli with Marinara Sauce
For me, ravioli is such a staple meal that you can hardly go wrong with! The ravioli itself is good, but I also like to add some red pepper flakes to the sauce to make it a little spicy. Mediterranean Coast also serves some cheesy garlic bread that goes well on the side.
Annabel Salinger ‘26 - Cookies (Especially Oatmeal)
They have a great selection of cookies at the COG. There are always a lot of desserts, and they rotate each day, which is fun. 5/5 stars.
Josh David ‘25 - Deli Sandwiches
The create-your-own sandwich bar is by far the best and most reliable option. It has a variety of fresh ingredients to create some tasty combinations. They often have special weekly ingredients like buffalo chicken or garlic aioli sauce to add to your creations.
Maria Braatz ‘24 - Salmon
The cog salmon never disappoints! It is always a go to of mine on Wednesdays. It is served with either rice or veggies. It is a filling meal every time!
Rafa Polanco ‘24 - Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup
The best item in the COG is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Nothing beats that on a rainy day. I've had four or five grilled cheeses in one sitting before, and I know people who have had even more than that. It's that good!
