Building Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Workplace
"At the end of the day it's about humanity and who we are, it's about our community, and ultimately, our country. Step outside your comfort zones and get to know people different from yourself. I promise you, it will enrich your life."
Leadership Training & Development reimagined their Webinar Wednesday Series and for the entire 2020-21 academic year, focusing on building diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. Designed and hosted by Emily Clay, former Program Assistant and Alumna of the M.A. in Communication & Leadership Program, each webinar featured conversations meant to address the many aspects of DEI strategies through storytelling, practical application, and more. With the generosity of local sponsors, the School of Leadership Studies was able to offer this series for free, further extending the reach of these critically important conversations.

"Diverse teams build better products. Inclusion is a business model that works by virtue of expanding the roster of available talent and available customers. DEI efforts are morally right and financially right, making it the obvious pragmatic path forward."
