Gonzaga Basketball Manager Mac Graff Walks on Senior Night
It was an emotional Senior Night for the Gonzaga University men's basketball team this weekend at McCarthey Athletic Center.
The Zags honored their senior players and managers as is their tradition, but this night had a couple of memorable twists. GU product Rui Hachimura made a surprise entrance for the introductions and lit up the arena with his signature smile, but the local and national media were celebrating and equally uplifting moment.
Gonzaga team manager MacDaniel "Mac" Graff walked onto the court with the assistance of a walker and accompanied by a family member during pregame ceremonies. Gonzaga coach Mark Few said it was the first time he'd seen Graff walk. Graff's effort drew a standing ovation from the sellout crowd at The Kennel.
