Gratitude Before Graduation
Scholarships have an impact on everyone at Gonzaga. The class of 2018 was asked to share in handwritten notes what four years of scholarship support meant to them during a recent event, which welcomed this year's seniors to their new role as GU alumni. Here are some of their responses — see more in the days leading up to commencement by following @GU_Giving on Twitter.
Thank you for helping me realize my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Without scholarships, I would not have been able to attend GU, graduate with a degree and continue my education to get my masters! Thanks for giving me the opportunity!
One of the reasons I came to GU was because of the scholarships and because of this, I had the best four years of my life. It has meant so much to be a part of the GU community and can't wait to see what's next! Thank you!
[Thank you] For supporting me and allowing me to be the first in my family to graduate college in the U.S.!
4 years of scholarships means the opportunity to study at the best university while not having to stress about being able to stay. It is EMPOWERMENT ❤️
Scholarships from Gonzaga made my education and best 4 years of my life possible. Go Zags!
Thank you GU for making these last 4 years possible! Can't wait to give back to this amazing place! - Maddie
Thank you for the best four years of my life!
As one class prepares to graduate, the need for scholarships is still present in each class that follows. Grateful Zags (and prospective students, too) are counting on donations from alumni, parents, friends, fans, faculty and staff to enable them to achieve the Gonzaga degree for which they are working so hard. Be the difference and make your gift today.
