About This Event

Fostering a culture of innovation is essential for success. The Gonzaga School of Leadership Studies Innovation Academy equips leaders with the tools, mindset, and strategies to drive transformative change within teams and across organizations. The three-day experience will be led by innovation experts Dr. Jeff Borden and Dr. Steve Johnson. Together they will provide interactive sessions and practical exercises to create an environment where creativity thrives, problems are solved, and breakthrough solutions emerge. 

Innovation Academy participants will learn to:

  • Leverage the latest organizational psychology frameworks to create efficiencies through technology
  • Tap into resources across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Utilize strategic design systems to manifest change catalysts and solve entrenched organizational challenges
  • Shape innovative ecosystems to move toward comprehensive, attainable, and sustainable solutions

Dr. Jeff Borden is the Dean of Gonzaga University's School of Leadership Studies and a sought after speaker on innovation, education, and leadership as CEO of Jeff Presents. He was formerly the Senior Vice President of Learning Experience Design & Innovation at National University, as well as Vice Provost.

Dr. Steve Johnson is an expert in Innovation and Futures Thinking and a published author. He founded and launched National University's Research, Innovation, and Strategy Collaborative as Senior Vice President for Innovation at National University. He also served for 13 years in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer.

The Academy includes a kick off dinner with keynote speaker, two full days of interactive learning with breakfast and lunch, and learning handbook.
