About This Event
With a look at both contemporary and historic moments of what many call times of border “crisis,” Professor Flores asks what it would mean to draw on rhetorical studies to interrupt that frame of crisis and shift the lens from crisis to the intersections of dignity and violence. In doing so, she builds upon her investments in racial rhetorical criticism by asking how we racialize rhetorical theories of time and temporality, mobility, and containment.
