In conjunction with the current exhibit: "Home: Imagining the Irrevocable", join us for a poetry reading with Stephen Pitters.
Pitters hosts The Spokane Open Poetry Program on KYRS Thin Air Community Radio since 2004. Stephen currently produces Poetry Rising at the South Hill Library and has provided poetry, prose, and music events for senior centers in the area of Spokane, Washington. Six of his poems have been made into songs by California singer songwriter Traci De Leon, and two other songs by local musicians, Kicho Forest, Posie Kalin and jazz musician Jermaine Carlton. His works have also been made into visual art pieces by local artists, Megan Perkins, Tracy Poindexter-Canton and Kenyan batik artist Nicholas Sironka, Madison Throop, Art Jacobs, Halle Kuhar-Pitters, Sculptor James McLeod.
