What do we mean by EDI Resources?
There is no single, official definition or criteria for what is an “EDI resource.” This page is intended to help users consider ways to strategically search and identify resources that are focused on research and discourse related to issues of equity, diversity, and social inclusion (EDI), particularly from a social justice lens. The search strategies and resources listed here will primarily be effective in searching for research and scholarship, but they may also be helpful in identifying literature that presents diverse narratives and themes related to EDI.

Article Databases related to EDI
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are priorities in many disciplines, so there can be great scholarship found in almost any of our hundreds of subject databases, but if you’re unsure where to start then looking at the databases identified as relevant for Critical Race and Ethnic Studies is a good option.
Within databases, subject terms and limiters exist like in Primo. Noticing and utilizing these can help narrow or broaden your search and identify alternative search phrases.
Journals related to EDI
The Periodicals@Foley or Journal Search tool searches by keywords in the journal title and in the record for the journal. Starting with broad terms and increasing specificity is a good way to not miss potentially useful publications. The results here include the titles of journals, newspapers, magazines, etc. that the library subscribes to, but there may be specific articles within those publications to which Foley Library does not have immediate access
