Curriculum Vitae

I teach physics courses to students from all majors on campus. Exposing students to topics such as the conservation laws of nature makes teaching introductory courses incredibly rewarding! Coursework emphasizes critical thinking, not rote memorization. My main research focus is in nuclear astrophysics, particularly in stellar nucleosynthesis, which helps us understand the formation of the elements. I am also the moderator of the Physics Journal Club, where students and faculty from across campus discuss fascinating news from the physics community. Recent topics have included the search for alien life with the recently launched James Webb Space Telescope, how scientists are using AI in their research, and ways of predicting the occurrence of rogue waves in the ocean.
