Future plans:
This summer, I will begin a post-baccalaureate research program at Harvard University. This fall, I plan to apply for Biology and Public Health PhD programs. My goal is to lead research exploring health inequalities and teach as a professor.
How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?
I love asking questions. After learning about any fact, statistic, or phenomenon, I am always curious about the why behind them. Biology has taught me how to answer my own questions and helped me realize I am capable of doing so.
What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your Gonzaga career?
I conducted an independent research project exploring children's attitudes towards their lunches across different socio-economic and cultural neighborhoods in Spokane. Through this work I was able to connect with children from different backgrounds and inspire them to pursue science.
