A Liberal Arts Education for the 21st Century

Your Foundation

Gonzaga University provides an education that prepares our graduates to be adaptable, life-long learners who possess critical thinking, clear communication, and analytical skills that are relevant in every personal and professional setting. Gonzaga students are encouraged to engage the Liberal Arts in ways that will help them develop the habits and skills to be effective and principled citizens and leaders.

Your Future

At Gonzaga, we seek to educate our students as whole people who are prepared to face the intellectual, vocational, and spiritual challenges of today and tomorrow. Our students are immersed in a Core Curriculum that purposefully fosters engagement within and across the range of disciplines represented by the liberal arts—the humanities, mathematics, the social and physical sciences, and the fine arts. Core Curriculum coursework is enhanced in meaningful and practical ways through internship, study abroad, and service-learning opportunities.

Our liberal arts approach emphasizes developing essential foundational skills along with a breadth and depth of knowledge that challenges students to explore their personal and professional paths in a complex, diverse, and ever-changing world.

“Technology alone is not enough. It’s technology married with the liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the results that make our hearts sing.”
