In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, fostering a culture of innovation is essential for organizations to make an impact. That's where the Certificate in Innovation, Strategy and Leadership comes in! This is a 14-week synchronous course that equips you with the tools, mindset, and strategies to drive innovation within your teams and across the entire organization. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, you'll learn how to create an environment where creativity thrives, problems are solved, and breakthrough solutions emerge.  This practical, yet exciting courses culminates in a real-world capstone project where you apply everything you've learned!

  • Jeff Borden, a former Chief Innovation Officer and current Dean of the School of Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University, is an author, world-wide presenter, and consultant. With over 25 years of experience as an innovator and leader within multiple companies and universities, he's excited to share an innovation formula to help you move organizations in creating and sustaining more innovative solutions at scale. 

Program details:

  • Format: Zoom classes held weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Pacific Time
  • Dates: September 17, 2024 to December 10, 2024 (3 months/14 weeks)

  • Time commitment: You'll spend 2-3 hours per week outside of class on reading and practical assignments. 
  • Credits: You'll receive 6 (six) Continuing Education Credits on a Gonzaga University Center for Lifelong Learning transcript upon completion of the course.
  • Prerequisites and expectations:
    • No prior knowledge or experience is required!
    • To enroll, you must have five (5) years of any kind of work experience (which can include jobs held during high school) or a Bachelor's degree.
