Dr. O'Connor has taught at Gonzaga University since 2004. A specialist in Russian history, he teaches courses that focus on Soviet history, Soviet film, and Nazi Germany. He is also the author of several books on the Baltic states, including The House of Hemp and Butter: A History of Old Riga, published by Northern Illinois University Press in 2019. Dr. O’Connor’s personal interests include film, international travel, disc golf, Sasquatch sightings, full-contact wiffleball, building trebuchets, and Falkland War reenactments.
