CRES 101: Introduction to Race & Ethnic Studies

CRES 201: Race & Popular Culture

I have been an educator at the K-8 & Undergraduate level for the past 7 years. My research focuses on the historical and contemporary development of community liberation schools throughout the African and Indigenous Diaspora. My work also centers around topics related to: compulsory education, settler-colonialism, the U.S. prison regime, the family policing system, the Black Radical Tradition, and Pedagogies of Liberation. As scholars, I think it is important we connect and build with grassroots community organizations struggling to transform their neighborhoods under the weight of oppression.
