Daphne Gershon, Ph.D.

Daphne Gershon received her PhD from the Media and Cultural Studies program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests center around TV representations of gender and sexuality, and the ways in which TV texts are transforming in the digital age. Her dissertation explores TV depictions of sexual dysfunction and their growing visibility in the 21st century. She has published work in Feminist Media Studies and the International Journal of Cultural Studies, and she is currently co-editing an instructional book on textual analysis under contract with NYU Press.
