John Collett is a two-time Emmy-Award winning broadcast journalist, who worked primarily as a sports anchor, reporter and play-by-play broadcaster at KHQ-TV and SWX-TV in Spokane, Washington.

John’s research interests and professional experience are in sports media. In addition to his broadcasting experience, he worked five years as the Director of Public Relations for the Spokane Indians, a minor league baseball affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

John has served as a lecturer in the Integrated Media Department since 2019, teaching courses in all three majors. His pedagogical style prioritizes community and team building while emphasizing experiential learning.
