Robin Kelley, Ph.D., Chief Diversity Officer
The Office of Inclusive Excellence, led by Chief Diversity Officer Robin Kelley, oversees services, functions, and initiatives that promote a sense of belonging for all at Gonzaga University. The Office’s responsibilities include implementation of a comprehensive Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan and oversight of Title IX, climate reports and response, and coordination of and monitoring the university’s efforts towards building a culture of community and belonging. We recognize that an institution's success is dependent on how well it values, engages, and includes the richness of human difference in its community.
Gonzaga Awarded 2024 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award
Gonzaga University has been honored with the 2024 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from Insight Into Diversity magazine, recognizing its comprehensive efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across campus. This achievement is attributed to the collaborative work of various university offices, students, faculty, and staff, as well as the implementation of the Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan.
Our office strives to promote awareness of cultural diversity on our campus, in our community, and in the world in order to promote good will and mutual understanding of our human difference, and be a presence and a voice though mentorship, education, and support.
