Hiromi Stringer talks about their solo exhibition "The Exotic WEST: Time Traveler Umeyama's Accident Occidental Discoveries" on view at the Gonzaga University Urban Arts Center from September 20 until November 9.

Hiromi Stringer is currently a Senior Lecturer of Interdisciplinary Drawing and Painting at the University of San Antonio. She was a 2024 resident at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and at the Vermont Studio Center. Hiromi was also a 2021 resident of Ox-Bow School of Arts and Artist’s Residency. She was awarded the 2019-2020 Daedalus Foundation Master of Fine Arts Fellowship, and was again recognized in 2022 by Dedalus Foundation Funds for Past Fellows and Awardees.
