Join us for an inspiring Lunch and Learn with Dr. Joe Johnston and his dynamic team of Sociology students as they showcase their transformative community service-learning project, "The Walking School Bus." Discover how they're making a real impact on local students' lives and explore how you, too, can be a catalyst for meaningful social change through the power of community building.
Lunch and beverages are provided! Open to students, faculty, and staff!
Learning Outcomes
- Learn what the walking school bus program is and learn about a new sociology course (SOCI 200: Social Problems, Solutions, & Social Change) connected to the program.
- Discuss how intentional relationship & community building connects to social change.
