Hiplet (pronounced ‘hip-lay’) combines classical pointe technique with African, Latin, hip-hop and urban dance styles. Performances may incorporate African drum rhythms with the music of Tchaikovsky, arabesques, beat-boxing, or tango -- all showcasing Hiplet’s trademark sass and struts to music from Black Violin to Beyoncé.
