(7:30am-12:30pm and again from 3:00-5:00pm) We need another pair of hands, someone that is trustworthy and above all else will keep our children safe, happy and well cared for. We need someone to be silly, have fun and go on adventures. We have 2 little boys (age 6 and age 5) that love art projects, playing board games, playing outside and digging in the dirt. Our active boys need to have their energy channeled with running, jumping, playing and any other creative ways you can think of to wear them out. A non-smoker is a must! We are hoping for someone that is a decent cook of children's food and will provide them with well balanced meals. This would be typically a Monday through Thursday position, with the possibility of full-time (Monday-Friday) beginning in January 2010. We live in the Spokane Valley near Broadway Elementary School. Some transportation will be needed to and from school as well. There are also two neighbor children (boy: age 6 and girl: age 5) who would be willing to share your expertise if you are willing to handle four little ones at once. Excellent Salary (pay will double if other two children join in the mix). We need someone to start as soon as possible and continue through the middle of January. Miscellaneous - Disabilities Awareness Coordinator

Description: The Muscular Dystrophy Association is seeking two Disability Awareness Coordinator (DAC) Interns. This person will contact local pre-schools, childcare centers and elementary schools, inviting them to participate in the MDA Hop-a-Thon Program. The Hop-a-Thon Program is a wonderful, free educational program that teaches young children (ages 3-10) about muscular dystrophy and disability awareness. MDA provides all the materials and curriculum at no cost to the childcare center. The childcare center then focuses their curriculum for the week around disability awareness and helps in raising money through a Hop-a-Thon for MDA. The DAC will spend the day calling pre-school, childcare centers and elementary schools in Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho & Northeastern Oregon and talking to them about the Hop-a-Thon program. Good phone and problem-solving skills are a must. The DAC will be fully trained on all aspects of the Hop-a-Thon program and will be able to answer all a director’s questions about the program. Strong note-taking and organizational skills are essential to this position. Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule possible) December 7 through December 17 and January 4 through March 1.
