We are proud to offer a number of scholarships to help fund your Gonzaga experience. Several of our scholarships are awarded based on individual merit, and others require a separate application. They are outlined below. Read carefully, select the ones that are right for you, and please ask if you have any questions.
Gonzaga Merit Scholarships:
- All students who complete the Application for Admission are automatically considered for one of several need-blind scholarships
- Only awarded to accepted freshmen students
- Scholarships range from $4,000 to $14,000 per year and are guaranteed for four years (as long as the student enters as a freshman and maintains good academic standing)
- Criteria for the scholarship include difficulty of curriculum, grade point average, SAT or ACT test scores, extracurricular activities, recommendations, quality of the essay, and optional interview
- Separate application forms are not required
National Merit Awards:
- Available to National Merit Finalists who have contacted the National Merit Corporation to designate Gonzaga as their first choice college
- Students must meet all notification deadlines and renewal requirements set forth by the National Merit Corporation
- Awards are $6,250 per year for a total of four years. The award is increased to $7,500 per year if the applicant demonstrates significant financial need.
Girls and Boys State Scholarships:

Available to selected high school seniors who list their participation in this program on the Application for Admission
- 4 delegates (two female and two male) will be chosen from each of the following states to receive a one-time award of $500: Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington
- A separate application is not required

Awards will be given based on the following selection criteria: demonstration of humanitarianism through membership in honorary service clubs; participation in community service organizations or individual humanitarian interest; residence in Spokane County; Sandpoint, ID; King County; or Portland, OR area; and two letters of recommendation. |

Contact your guidance counselor or check with service organizations such as Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, and Elks Club.
