Program Cost: Gonzaga University tuition. Student pays housing and fees at Akita International University. Airfare and textbooks are not included.
Application Deadline: Applications for the exchange programs will be accepted until the deadline of February 1, 2010. Exchange programs are limited in space. It is recommended you apply early. Late applications are considered on a space-available basis.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Akita International University (AIU) is a junior year, semester, or summer exchange program. Study at AIU, a small, liberal arts college with a global orientation, located in the beautiful Akita Prefecture on the northern Japanese seaboard. Humanities and business courses are taught in English and a variety of Japanese language courses are offered. Students live in university dorms. Prerequisite: Two years of Japanese.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Sophia University, a prestigious Jesuit institution in Tokyo, participates in a yearly exchange program with Gonzaga. The program admits three full academic year GU students or six semester students. A wide range of courses, including international studies and business are taught in English, but students must complete at least two years of college level Japanese in order to be accepted.
